lyrics

Road Show

Your palm is wet, and your face sweats
When you see the test, I put my prospects through
Next up, you

They say my sense of conscience, shows little life
And so I must admit, his sickness comes with strife for you
But what can I do

Hey, oh yeah, tears score no points with me
Ooo, oh no, I see through every show

Oh it’s never easy, at first to see
But if you dress the part , and read it smart we’ll do
Amazing things

My habits may be sin, but I blend in
I try to reason why, no lust, no gain, just thrill
Can beat their will

Hey, oh yeah, tears only ever bore
Ooo, oh no, it’s weakness I abhor

Ooo, Another mark for you to read
Oh yeah, before they put the screws to you
Oh oh

Oh it might not be easy, to speak from the heart
But if you act the part, and read it smart we’ll do
Amazing things

After all this time, I can read your mind
When I’m so inclined,  you’re in my purview
I choose you
Hey, oh yeah, tears score no points with me
Ooo, oh no, I see through every show

Sometimes

Light shines bright on the worst of traits
Feels like the world reveals what we are
I found a seed but the heart is fallow
Crack the skin like a meteor, not a shining star.
My time is pretty tight, but there’s a chance with you tonight
I wanna turn around and see you there.

I somehow got this feeling like my heart started to float
Words they seem to catch between my soul and my throat
A certain kind of breathless, think maybe I could make you mine
Some days hard to leave the bed today was worth the climb

And what you mean to me, can’t be so hard to see

Up in arms as we compare scars
Things are so complex, simple as they are
Roll to my side battered and shaken
But then I turn around and there you are.

Of all the troubles landed in my lap before this time I know
I’ve picked them up and slammed them down with no remorse
I’ve never waited on miracles or a switching of the poles
I’m just looking to be whole.

And now I’ve got this feeling like my heart began to float
Language all gets lost between my soul and my throat
That’s the kind of breathless makes me want to stick in time
Some DAYS are hard to leave the bed but today was worth the climb.

And what you mean to me, can’t be so hard to see, cause the
Sun shines sometimes

Eleventh Hour

The last time we spoke
The clouds all lifted, years seemed to collide
In that time I felt warm & embraced
Although miles away, until the very next day

I watched your colors
Fade to gray when you left that day
A lesson in purity of courage
Had myself some passing dark thoughts
And dark thoughts are so slow to fade, away…away

So distant for so long
And then tied up at once in a last goodbye
Wound so tight, explore or explode
But some wounds get open, some hearts are exposed.

I wish us speed in passing
Before that day finally comes I hope we’ve said
All those things  neglect and regret
Provide us the time not  to say
I told you then…I told you then

The winters here get longer
But the years pass faster all the time
I look for answers in the embers I’ve stoked
I can’t make them line up for me now
I don’t know how.

Song 01

Old habits don’t seem the same
Can’t kick the feeling
They don’t give gravity any more
Old friends don’t sing the same
Songs they used to
They’ve moved on

Cracks in the pavement
I just can’t look away
Can’t raise my eyes just now
The weight of my head’s too much
For me to bare

Look out from my window
It’s a place as safe
As any is likely to be
They say take a breath
And just hold it in
These feelings will pass away

Paint on the window pane
I just can’t look away
Can’t lift my gaze just now
The weight of my head’s too much
For me to take

I don’t want to hit the pillow till I can’t keep my eyes open
Out all night
Drown myself in a pool that’s two fingers deep, put myself
Out all night
Don’t want to go to sleep because I can’t lose the day so
Out all  night
And I can’t stop moving it takes too much courage to be still
Out all night
